Gardening. Correction: Landscaping

On the weekend we always try to get a lot done. A LOT. Too much, because we always feel like we're coming up short when we can't get it all done. We're obviously type A. Well, at least I am for sure.

Here's a little sampling of our Sunday...We ripped out and re-did the side garden, trimmed and clipped the crap out of everything, weeded, installed the water barrel, made a nice beach rock border, killed a few errant spireas (sorry), move around some hostas and ferns, then finally seeded the grass. Still have to trim those Euonymus bushes...did it all without wine too <high five>.

Hubby says he hopes I'm easier on my next husband. What a kidder!!! Can't wait for next weekend.

 

Flagstone, my way!

One of the things we wanted to do on our gardening vacation was to re-do the flagstone that leads off the veranda on the side where the kitchen door is. There's a fair amount of traffic through that door so it just had to be done. So here it is - done our way!

My new blog inspired by my new veranda

Actually, it's an old veranda but it suits us just fine! It's very pretty and we look forward to spending some time on it during the summer.
